2019 Local Business Charity Awards (Gloucestershire) launched, supported by insurance specialists Jelf and Ageas Insurance
The Local Business Charity Awards (Gloucestershire) have launched again in Gloucestershire for their sixth year in the county. The awards celebrate the support given by Gloucestershire businesses and individuals to local charities.
This year, to help charities who may be new to the process, organisers have posted the nominations behind last years’ three winning entries on the website. Charities can now read the nomination for Randall & Payne, winner of the Jelf Award written by The Pied Piper Appeal, Dee & Griffin Solicitors, winners of the Ageas Award, written by Longlevens Rugby Club and Elaine Hodgin formerly of Clarkson Evans, winner of the Individual Award, nominated by the Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals Charity.
Cathy Taylor, Head of Commercial Underwriting and Operations for Ageas Insurance said,
‘We are pleased to sponsor these awards again. They’ve become an integral part of our community and are an important way of recognising the mutually beneficial relationship that prospers between businesses and charities. I’m already looking forward to reading some great nominations.’
Nichola Thomson, Chief Operating Officer for Jelf concurred,
‘As a company Jelf have really taken the Local Business Charity Awards to our hearts. Not only were we the founding sponsor back in 2014 but we are also now sponsoring them in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. We will also be launching Berkshire, Scotland and Wales in the next few weeks. Like Jelf, the awards have grown substantially over the years and although we may both serve and reach more people than ever before, the awards align with our ambition to be firmly rooted in our local communities. We wish the charities of Gloucestershire luck with their nominations this year and look forward to seeing you at the finals in September.’
