About the Local Business Charity Awards
Now in their second year, the Local Business Charity Awards were started by Jelf Insurance brokers in 2014, as a way of recognising and celebrating the work done by local Gloucestershire businesses, for local Gloucestershire charities.
The emphasis always has been and always will be, on the word 'local'. National charities benefit from national social media, advertising and marketing campaigns, whereas smaller, local charities, have to make do with word of mouth, reputation and generous local businesses. These are the charities we want to showcase and support.
With their 40+ regional office, Jelf has always prided itself on its presence as a 'local' business on a 'national' scale and felt recognising local charities was an appropriate and natural step for them to take.
The 2014 awards were a huge success, receiving plaudits from businesses, charities and judges alike. All agreed the awards must become a part of the Gloucestershire events diary and it is with delight that Jelf have announced the addition of a second sponsor, Cheltenham-based Solicitors Harrison Clark Rickerbys for the 2015 awards. Click here to read more about both sponsors.
Please use the links above to find out more about how to enter the awards themselves. Thank you.
