The Gloucestershire awards were launched in 2014. With support from the local business and charities in the county, we are proud to say the Local Business Charity Awards are now a fixed date in the corporate diary of many.
For the second year in a row, we are delighted to welcome Jelf and Ageas back as our co sponsors and hope you will take a moment to visit their sponsor page, or their websites, to show your support.
Updated Entry Criteria
In previous years there has been some debate as to how we defined 'local', with some charities feeling they were being unfairly excluded because they also did work outside of Gloucestershire. Mindful of the fact that we do not want to exclude any charity that provides genuine support to the people of Gloucestershire, we have devised these new entry criteria.

Support A Local Charity
In 2018 we are running a campaign called 'Support A Local Charity', asking local businesses to choose and support a local charity this year. It has become apparent to us that smaller charities, although desperately needing funds and support, often do not have the time, administration staff or experience to seek out corporate sponsors and enter awards. 'Support A Local Charity' aims to introduce small businesses to small charities who may be able to work together, offering not necessarily financial support but also skills share and mentoring.
Supporting a charity does not have to be about climbing mountains and raising money, it can also be about providing more practical support.
We will share details of the charities and firms we've put together and who knows, one day they could be entering the awards!
